The transfer cases are never rattle canned, don't ask, it's an inferior coating.
TCS feels powder coating is a superior coating and is a direct reflection of the quality of work, superior.

When choosing Full corrosion resistance package, powder coating or custom color the case will be powder coated. See Full Corrosion Resistance package for entire package details, upgraded fasteners, zinc and chromate plated hardware.

I do offer media blasting services, for the entire case. The entire case will come bare metal. Proper prep will still need to be done before painting.

No adapter, shifter, and/or shifting hardware is being sold in this listing. May be some handling blemishes.

Please Note: In order for this case to work with a TH350, you must have the transmission and adapter used in 81 and 82 when GM had the 208 behind the TH350. OR modify your TH350 to be like the ones from 81 and 82 but you still need the adapter from 81 and 82.

Standard Rebuild:

  • Transfer case will be washed in the parts and ultrasonic washer to ensure all old oil and metal shavings are removed from the inside
  • New Bearings
  • Chain
  • New Seals
  • New Gaskets
  • No sensors, you must reuse your own. New sensors may be available.

Please keep in mind it take two or more transfer cases to rebuild 1.

Optional upgrades/modifications at additional cost are:
  • **NEW** Full Corrosion Resistance package
  • Powder coating - gloss ink black and energy green with New Allen head Bolts and hardware.
  • Custom color other than gloss ink black and energy green for powder coating - Subject to custom color fee
  • Media Blasting - bare metal
  • Any other request may be able to be completed on an individual basis.

Front output Yoke will need to be specified. Flange is found on earlier years, where U-Joint yoke (pictured) is found on later years. We cannot guarantee the yoke you've selected will be available, as stock is fluctuating. If you absolutely need a specific yoke, please email us for stock availability. Otherwise we'll pick what you've selected. If you don't care, pick what you wish to have and if we have it, we'll supply it.

If you do not purchase any of the optional upgrades your item will be cleaned enough to be handled and installed. May still be oily to the touch. Dirt in the crevices.

At a minimum, I highly recommend powder coating your case. It will stop the case from continuing to corrode and oxide. In turn protecting it from all elements, including your leaky engine oil and road salt. It's far stronger and superior to paint.

The transfer case will come completely drained.

It is your responsibility to fill the transfer case to the appropriate level with the appropriate gear oil.
